Nice to meet you, I’m Kaesee!
I have never been the type of person to put myself in a box or limit myself to just one interest, and this website is a perfect example of that. From Things by Kae to Nature Kae, this site is a hub for all of the things that make me me, and I hope that some corner of this space will be an inspiration to you!

I love to express my creativity, whether that means making stationery, crocheting, editing videos, messing around with jewelry, managing social media accounts, or learning new techniques for adobe software. My room is evidence of the fact that I am always trying out some new creative medium––there are craft supplies EVERYWHERE.

I am an author/illustrator, and published my first children’s picture book in 2024. The book is called Discoveries in the Sand, and aims to introduce kids to the cool animals and interactions happening in the Mojave Desert.

In December 2022, I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Ecology and Evolutionary Studies…I also double minored in psychology and neuroscience. Simply put, I am a nerd. Currently, I am a fish and biologist and work mostly with endangered species in California and Nevada.

While I live in the city, I have my Dad’s Mississippi roots to thank for raising me to love hunting, fishing, and boating. I'm not afraid of a challenge, and love trying new outdoorsy hobbies, which has led me to enjoy ice fishing, archery hunting, and cooking wild game in a Dutch oven. Whenever I have extra time, I volunteer with the Nevada Department of Wildlife teaching people how to fish and helping with hunter’s education. I am also an ambassador for Artemis Sportswomen––a group dedicated to getting more women into the hunting and fishing world. I host events throughout the city to help women break into this space, or hone the skills that they may already have.

Outside of crafts and nature, I also love spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, dancing, cooking, thrifting, serving at church, and watching movies. At the end of the day, my desire is for everything I do to bring glory back to Jesus; every skill and bit of knowledge I have is a gift from him, so it only makes sense to give it back.

If you have more questions about any aspect of my life or ever want to collab, please let me know!
